Superior Intellect?

Does man actually have the superior intellect of all the creatures on this blue planet of ours? Is there any way of really knowing? Or do we, as humans, simply assume that we have the greater knowledge?
Dolphins have a permanent smile planted on their faces. Coincidence? I don't think so. They figured something out a long time ago. With no natural enemies except of course, man, they swim the blue oceans free and easy. Not even bothered by the worlds most feared predator, the shark. Their bodies are a perfect design. Made to swim and glide through the water effortlessly. Something worked with these guys. And it turns out they're pretty smart too. Do they have computers? No. Do they need em'? No. Do they have fancy buildings and cars? No. Do they need em'? No. Money? War? Greed? Hunger? Religion? Politics? No. Do they need it? No.
Are you so sure humans are the smartest living things on earth?
Are you?

  1. If Dolphins are so damn smart Einstein, then why were they the ones letting humans attach bombs to them to blow up Japanese submarines in World War 2??? Why do they let humans train them at Sea World???? If you hate mankind so much, why don't you just go live in a jungle with the animals you liberal freak!!!

    1. Thanks for the comment.
There's a program on Nat geo Wild called "An Animal saved my Life".: There's a section in there where a pod of dolphins get together and decide to save a surfers life from being eaten by a great white shark. They didn't have bombs strapped to them though.

To my knowledge, human's strapping bombs to Dolphins, which in itself demonstrates how fucked up the human race is, didn't begin until the mid sixties. Here are a few links for you to check out.

just cut and paste them in your browser.

The jungle does sound inviting, but it can be very buggy in the summer months...
      Enjoy

  2. In the original "Batman" movie (with Adam West and Burt Ward), a group of Dolphins throw themselves in front of a torpedo to save the dynamic duo, so your surfer story above must be true!!!. You're right, humans never save lives!

Here are some other facts about dolphins:

Dolphins engage in acts of aggression towards each other. The older a male dolphin is, the more likely his body is to be covered with bite scars. Male dolphins engage in such acts of aggression apparently for the same reasons as humans: disputes between companions and competition for females. Acts of aggression can become so intense that targeted dolphins sometimes go into exile as a result of losing a fight.
Male bottlenose dolphins have been known to engage in infanticide. Dolphins have also been known to kill porpoises for reasons which are not fully understood, as porpoises generally do not share the same diet as dolphins, and are therefore not competitors for food supplies

  3. You act as though before mankind, all creatures got along in absolute harmony. That all species were preserved and territories fully honored and respected. There was no greed or hunger in the world because they naturally shared resources. That somehow the birth of mankind dismantled that natural harmony. When, in reality, animals were often each other's resources/prey with no given boundaries or limitations (except for another species natural resistence) on advancement of one species over another!!! You're right, there were no politics or religion to preserve/defend and/or maintain a certain balance, just simply pure survival of the fittest. Is that the world that you desperately seek today?

  4. I am sure that humans are the smartest beings on earth. I am also sure that whereas dolphins may not "need" computers, we don't either. If dolphins could have and manipulate computers, would they be better off? Hell, yeah!

Plus, I'm pretty sure dolphins feel hunger.
