How boring the world must have been before the invention of electricity.

When someone asks a kid what they want to be when they grow up, do you think any of them anywhere in the world ever say, Metallurgist?

"What are you interested in Johnny?"

"Not sure, but breaking down metals into their original molecular compounds and observing how they react under controlled environments in laboratories sort of interests me. I guess."
